-         The poem has neo-romantic elements in it. The poetess believes in the ideology of pantheism which means nature is the manifestation / creation of god. She believes that god exists in every part of nature. The north eastern people worship the element of nature for this belief. The poetess also things that river has the soul as it the part of nature. -         So, this figure of speech based on ‘difference or contrast’.

(iv) Find out the beauty of the free verse reflected in this poem.

-         There is no rhyme expect the internal rhyme at a few places in the poem. It does not have regular metre and does not follow any rhyme scheme. But the poetic language, breaks in lines, use of refrain give a five sense of poetry. The poetess has expressed her inner feelings without the limitation of rhyming words freely and spontaneously. She describes the beauty of nature and the feeling of unrest freely. She does not worry about the use and adjustment of words for the sake of monotonous rhyme and metre.
